When you wash the car after being filthy for a month, you suddenly remember you have metallic paint. And it's beautiful!

I always look forward to see my shiny paint after-wash. Then i realize how bad the topcoat is and how many scratches and patches it has :(
(And that's why you don't paint in temperatures approaching freezing)

Ooof that's rough.
For how new my car is, there's definitely some paint quality issues. A couple chips through the color. The worst thing is my chrome hatch handle has some big scratches that i don't even know how they formed, let alone how to fix them

The last week or so I find myself wondering "didn't this car used to be some beautiful, shiny, deep bluish-purple color and not grey?"
My last car was grayish-silver and I never really noticed.
